The 2009 Ford Focus RS first made its public debut during the London Motor Show in July – but that doesn’t stop Ford of Europe to do it again during the Paris Motor Show to be held in October. According to a close source it will be one of the fastest European cars that Ford has made and they want every opportunity to show it off.
We all know Saleen for the powerful Mustangs that they produce – but this is one of the rare times they are expanding their expertise by releasing a modified Ford Focus under the Racecraft brand name. The new Focus RC2 will be revealed during the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Exterior additions include a new front fascia, mesh grille, rear spoiler, side skirts and 18-inch wheels with Bridgestone tires. It will also get suspension modifications with the addition of stiffer springs, high-performance valves and larger sway bars.
The 2010 Ford Lincoln MKT mule has been spotted out on the streets and we are only too happy to see it. Ford had told us that the MKT would not look anything like the Ford Flex that it is related to and we are happy to see that they were right.
Ford laid off close to 300 of the UAW hourly workers this week from their Romeo Engine Plant. The layoff have been deemed indefinite. The engine plant employs 1,200 workers and builds several different V8 engines that are used in some of Ford’s larger cars and trucks.
Ford has curtailed production of many of those models, because of a sweeping consumer shift toward small, fuel-efficient cars models. “We are further aligning our capacity with demand, which is resulting in changes to operating patterns at Romeo,†Ford spokeswoman Angie Kozleski said.
One of the worst things about driving is having to deal with the blind spot. Many of us have forgotten to check and because of this we have narrowly escaped an accident. Some automakers have tried to fix this problem by building in sensors to warn you when something was behind or beside you.
