Rumors have been flying around that there are some hard feelings between Kirk Kerkorian’s Tracinda Corporation and its agitation in Dearborn. If there is than the must be working really hard not to be mad at each other because there are talks between Executive Chairman Bill Ford Jr. and CEO Alan Mulally.
Ford is one of the many automakers that has been suspending work at plants that usually make SUV’s and trucks because consumers are not willing to shell out money for cars that will cost them a fortune in gas money. Ford has decided to take a different route. Instead of just closing down the plants they will be redesigning them to build Euro-market cars for the American market.
Ford has introduced a limited edition version of the Fiesta ST model. The new car will be painted in Panther black and will have silver stripes. There will only be 500 units produced (like in the name). Along with the great paint job it will also come with hiding red calipers and black alloys.
The new Ford Ka was spotted by spies and we are happy to see that it is almost identical to the renderings that were published and released a couple of weeks ago. There are a few details that are different – like the larger grille.
The Australia V8 Supercar series are getting an FG Falcon of their very own. The FG01 V8 Supercar is going to be unveiled during the weekend race in Melbourne, Australia. When it arrives it will run some demo laps.
According to Ford, the race car was designed to maximize driver safety while minimizing teams’ operating, maintenance, and repair costs. Best of all, unlike the “stock” cars run in our various NASCAR series, Australia’s V8 supercars actually bear more than a passing resemblance to their production counterparts — four doors and all.
