We all know Saleen for the powerful Mustangs that they produce - but this is one of the rare times they are expanding their expertise by releasing a modified Ford Focus under the Racecraft brand name. The new Focus RC2 will be revealed during the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Exterior additions include a new front fascia, mesh grille, rear spoiler, side skirts and 18-inch wheels with Bridgestone tires. It will also get suspension modifications with the addition of stiffer springs, high-performance valves and larger sway bars.
No official numbers have been released yet, but AutoWeek reports that the RC2 will get a 15-horsepower boost over the stock 143-hp rating, thanks to the dual-tipped exhaust and cold-air intake. The RC2 will begin production in the first quarter of 2009 with a base price of under $20,000.
