2009 Ford Edge SportFord brought in the 2009 Edge to as a way for them to offer more of a variety and more choices for consumers to choose from in the crossover utility market. Ford has obviously given it a sporty look that appeals to the adventurous sides of consumers. Yet, at the same time it can also be used as family vehicle.

The 2009 Edge has been buffed up and equipped with newer features and models. The exterior of the vehicle has been given and added front air dam, side skirts, and a rear skirt. The wheels are the most drastic change. They are 20” Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires with polished aluminum. The taillights have an edgier look to them – which helps to enhance the sporty look of the vehicle.

2008 Ford FusionFord is going to be making some changes to the Ford Fusion for the 2008 model year by giving it a Sport Appearance Package. Ford is confident that this will give people the aggressive look that they are looking for in this otherwise simple looking vehicle.

The Sport Appearance package will be available for the SE and SEL models. Exterior enhancements include 18-inch aluminum wheels, body-color fog-lamp surrounds and a unique rear lip spoiler. Fusion’s three-bar over two-bar grille also gets a smoky “black chrome” look.

Ford Transit SportVanThe new Ford Transit SportVan was debuted today at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham. The limited-edition model is modified from the 260, short wheelbase, front-wheel drive, 128bhp (130PS) model and features white bonnet stripes, twin exhausts 18” alloys and coloured bumpers and spoilers.

Ford´s commercial vehicles director Steve Kimber said: “I think this stunning new van will appeal to a part of the British market we´ve not seriously courted before, the single or small operator. Transit SportVan is all about style and individuality. It’s for people who love Transit and want to be a bit different, and there´s plenty of our customers who feel that way!”

2007 F-150 FXIf you are still upset over the decision that was made by Ford in 2004 to stop building the supercharged Lightning pickup, here is at least partial relief. The 2007 F-150 FX2 is a rolling demonstrator on how pickup power freaks can create their own speedy trucks with parts from the Ford Racing catalog.

The Lightning was a hot-rod version of the Ford F-150 pickup that first appeared in 1993 with a 240-hp V-8 and a $20,000 price tag. Production only went until 1995, but a second-generation version bowed in 1999 with a supercharged 360-hp V-8 that eventually produced 380 horsepower before it was put to rest in 2004.

Thai-TangFord Motor Company has decided that Hau Thai-Tang has done such a great job with the SVT that it was time for a promotion. His promotion was for him to be the head of the Ford of Brazil, the automakers’s most profitable global market.

Brazil has been great for Ford mostly because to the success of the EcoSport, which reversed share declines, but was deemed “too basic” for American tastes. Thai-Tang is continuing to live the American Dream and everyone is expecting him to do great things with his new post.
