Ford 'Expedition'

2008 ExpeditionFord and DJ Funkmaster Flex, the hip hop master of car customization, are turning the Funkmaster’s red hot Ford Expedition concept into a limited-edition production SUV. The stylized version of the full-sized SUV, dubbed the 2008 Ford Expedition Funkmaster Flex Edition, will hit Ford dealer showrooms later this fall. In launching the Funkmaster Flex Edition, Ford is positioning itself for continued growth in the vehicle personalization marketplace with an expressive SUV that doesn’t lose any of its Expedition authenticity, but highlights its style and presence.

2006 Expedition XLSThe Ford Expedition is ready once again for 2006 with only minor changes and the same choice of rear- or four-wheel-drive versions in no less than six trim levels topped by the King Ranch model.

For 2006, a reverse distance-sensing system and Safety Canopy airbags are now offered as stand-alone options (previously available only in packages) and chrome-tipped exhaust pipes are added on the King Ranch trim level. New exterior colors include Pewter Clearcoat Metallic and Dark Copper Clearcoat Metallic, and a Medium Flint Gray interior is newly offered with the Limited version.

2005 ExpeditionThe 2005 Ford Expedition is a milestone for full-size SUVs. It is smooth and refined with responsive handling given its size and weight. Its four-wheel-independent suspension is unusually sophisticated in this class, providing better ride and handling, on-road and off.

The Expedition is best exemplified by the popular Eddie Bauer model with its luxurious and inviting interior and feature details that make for a more comfortable and convenient vehicle. A new 2005 Expedition Limited model kicks it up a notch with special trim colors and more standard features.

2007 Ford ExpeditionFord has redesigned its largest SUV, the Expedition, for added refinement, style, comfort and safety. It remains unashamedly bold for buyers who require a voluminous and powerful truck that’s capable of serious towing, hauling and people moving. For the first time, an extended-length version, the Expedition EL, has been added and is set to compete with Chevrolet’s Suburban and GMC’s Yukon XL. As before, the Expedition shares platforms, powertrains and components with its upscale sibling, the Lincoln Navigator.
