Ford Blind Spot MirrorOne of the worst things about driving is having to deal with the blind spot. Many of us have forgotten to check and because of this we have narrowly escaped an accident. Some automakers have tried to fix this problem by building in sensors to warn you when something was behind or beside you.

Catalytic ConverterCatalytic converters contain platinum and hang from the bottom of your car. They are becoming more and more popular and many people are having them stolen away due to their increase in value. These thefts are occurring more in the UK then anywhere else.

Not only does a missing cat let more pollution into the air, it also disables operation of the car in some cases. In an effort to combat this growing problem, Ford has partnered with Retainagroup to place individual serial numbers on converters.

F-150Ford is contemplating using an EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine for its F-150 pickup truck for 2013. If used this new boost will be able to displace 2.5 liters and can push out 260 horsepower and 300 pound-foot of torque. They will only use it for the Regular Cab F-150 4×2 and 4×4.

Ford Euro FocusFord is one of the many automakers that has been suspending work at plants that usually make SUV’s and trucks because consumers are not willing to shell out money for cars that will cost them a fortune in gas money. Ford has decided to take a different route. Instead of just closing down the plants they will be redesigning them to build Euro-market cars for the American market.

Ford ExplorerFor many years Ford has remained successful because of its F-Series and SUV’s. These cars were in such high demand that they did not need to improve on many of their sedans. Now thanks to gas prices they are being forced to remodel and rethink the way that these sedans are produced.
