Ford SYNCFord is happy with its investment in Microsoft’s SYNC – which has helped to win over consumers. It seems that people are willing to pay the $395 to take advantage of its hands free technology and excellent entertainment system. It has even managed to win a few awards on the way.

Ford Focus InstrumentsFord’s new ad campaign is going to be unique and different compared too many that we have seen lately. Ford has taken the new five doors Ford Focus and transformed it into an orchestra. The instruments have all been made out of the car.

This ingenious ad was created by two American composers who have taken the concept of car sounds to the extreme. Hollywood film composer Craig Richey and New York sound designer Bill Milbrodt turned 21 parts from the new Ford Focus into musical instruments and arranged them to be played by an orchestra.

Ford SyncFord has decided to implement a new service that will alert 911 anytime the airbags in your vehicle go off. It is similar to the OnStar service that GM vehicles are equipped with. The service only costs $15-$30 a month instead of charging anytime you want to talk to an OnStar rep. Plus if you have bought the new SYNC than you can utilize the service for free.

Ford LogoThe head of Navistar’s Eastside diesel complex is worried that its 1,600 employee plant is going to lose its contract with Ford. If they can’t keep the contract with Ford than they will be forced to shutdown the 70 year old factory.

“The real key is: How do we keep the Ford business? If we don’t have it, there’s no plant there,” said Dan Ustian, Navistar chairman, in a conference call with reporters and industry analysts. “We’re going to do everything possible to keep that business.”

Twin Force TT-V6A brand new technology, named TwinForce, will appear on brand new Lincoln and Ford vehicles. TwinForce uses direct injection technology and turbocharging. These technologies are common in diesel engines, but have only recently been mixed for use in gasoline engines.
